For a multi-city Morocco trip, transport planning can save entire days. The country is particularly well connected along the Tangier–Rabat–Casablanca corridor.

Al Boraq high-speed rail

Morocco’s official tourism office says high-speed rail currently serves Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat and Casablanca. It publishes journey times of around 2 hours 10 minutes from Tangier to Casablanca and 1 hour 20 minutes from Rabat to Tangier.

Marrakech and Fes

The conventional ONCF network serves Marrakech and Fes, making it possible to connect both cities with Casablanca and other major rail hubs. Check live schedules and ticket rules with ONCF when your travel dates are fixed.

Agadir requires another mode

Agadir is not directly served by the national rail network. A trip to Agadir may therefore involve a flight, coach, road transfer or rail plus road.

Airports

Useful gateways for the destinations in this guide include Casablanca Mohammed V, Marrakech Menara, Rabat-Salé, Tangier Ibn Battouta, Agadir Al Massira and Fes-Saïss.

Match-day planning

Never use the scheduled rail or driving time as your full door-to-seat estimate. Major events introduce security checks, temporary traffic systems, queues and potentially dedicated shuttles. Arrive in the city with a generous buffer.
