Planning rule

Do not freeze a final configuration yet

A project still evolving

2026 procurement records show a substantial upgrade programme. A main construction and finishes package was published in August, while electrical and building-services tenders were still being published at the end of September.

The stadium should therefore be described as a venue under transformation rather than one with fully finalised 2030 capacity and access.

Why the works matter to travellers

Electrical, low-current systems, building services, steelwork and internal-space works can affect future operations, entrances, hospitality and circulation.

It is too early for a credible gate map or detailed seat guide. The useful content today is project status plus city planning.

Fes as a base

Fes is connected to the ONCF rail network and has its own FEZ airport. The medina is a major cultural draw, but it may not always be the simplest base for a quick trip to a peripheral stadium.

Match-going travellers may prefer an area with easier major-road access and visit the medina during the day.

Plan without overstating certainty

Avoid treating gates, parking or shuttle details as final today. Construction needs to progress before organisers can publish operational plans.
