A stadium already in service
Unlike several venues still undergoing major work, the new Prince Moulay Abdellah complex is operational. ANEP confirms its formal opening in September 2025 after an 18-month build.
The Moroccan federation continues to schedule matches there in 2026, providing direct evidence of current use.
Capacity and configuration
CAF lists a capacity of 68,095 and says it can be expanded to 68,700 for 2030. Actual ticket inventory can still vary by event because of operational zones and seating holds.
Rabat as a travel base
Rabat is one of the easier Moroccan cities for a short event stay: rail, tram, historic centre and modern districts are relatively close. It is also connected to Casablanca and Tangier by fast rail.
For a match, check the final shuttle plan and road restrictions. A normal-day route may not be the recommended event route.
Arriving from another city
Casablanca is close by rail and Tangier remains accessible through Al Boraq, but avoid a connection timed to the minute. If the match matters, sleeping in Rabat the previous night lowers risk.
Prepare a Rabat match
Check official match time and access plan.
Choose a hotel with simple station or urban-transport access.
Leave time for screening around the complex.
Do not confuse stadium capacity with tickets released for sale.
Plan the post-match return before leaving.
Keep buffer if continuing to Casablanca or Tangier.
