Corniche d'Aïn Diab — promenade
Casablanca's ocean promenade — cafés, urban beach, sunset.
About
The Aïn Diab Corniche is Casablanca's great ocean boulevard: a several-kilometre continuous promenade, cafés, seafood restaurants, beach pools and, above all, an Atlantic sunset that remains one of the best free activities in the city. Locals walk it late in the day and lunch there with family at weekends. We list the Corniche as a whole experience rather than a single address.
Why it is listed
- ◆Quality urban sunset, no ticket or booking required.
- ◆A softer alternative when medina-saturated.
- ◆Well connected from downtown by (short) taxi.
Traveller tips
- ◆Best section: between El Hank lighthouse and Morocco Mall.
- ◆Avoid Friday nights in summer — very busy.
- ◆Small seafood restaurants near Aïn Diab centre are more honest than the big-brand ones.
