La Sqala
Former Portuguese bastion turned Moroccan restaurant, under bougainvillea.
About
La Sqala sits inside an 18th-century Portuguese bastion next to Casablanca's medina. The sheltered garden, with its bougainvillea and orange trees, is one of the most pleasant outdoor spaces in the city for a calm lunch. The menu is Moroccan, clean and well-executed — tagines, varied Moroccan salads, pastilla, fresh juices. Probably the most reassuring first Moroccan meal in Casablanca.
